My mind racing, yet unable to think
Words reluctant to get out
Breath stagnant
Muscles trembling
My body heavy; dissolving
No connection to be found
Nerve endings open wide
Spreading further than my skin is able to reach
Moving incoherently around me
Taking in every sound, every smell, every touch
Unable to process
Too much, it’s too much
Lights too bright, movement too fast
Every little sound, hurting all that’s left of me
There we go again
No defense
All I can do is wait
Wait till the flood has passed
Till my senses find their piece again and my body reconnects
